Drawing is a magic and hand is its tool which prolongs the imagination and at the end whatever the support the ideas take form, features concretize contours of mental image, memory, or in situ location. But the drawing is not only the copy or the reproduction by the eye of a visible object, but it is also a way to expose objects, even scenarios, and sharing them with other people. For an architect the technical drawing is a standard representation only. The plan, façades, key plans, drawn with the rule…or pixels, are the cold expression of a finalized idea, that one comprehensible by the building owner and the following trade corps of construction which will realize the project. But the drawing in itself, the sketch, the draft, the gribouillis, which precede every right line is a paramount act : to lay down on paper, in two dimensions, the idea, the volume, the shape, before again raising it in three dimensions : the construction. The first hand made drawing constitutes the first note which will give the tempo to the awaited symphony. The drawing, beyond the architecture and the reproduction of reality, is a stimulation to the imagination, the awakening of the infinite forms, their proportions and their fits. It is also a way to learn the light right with a pencil and a white sheet. Drawing its own imagination is already taking “photographs memories” of its own self interior voyages…
